Executive Recruitment Consultant at Monroe Consulting Group is currently working with an established beverage company with strong presence in the FMCG and distribution channel to recruit a Regional Sales Manager based in Jakarta. The company focuses on strengthening its market presence through distributor management, commercial execution, and regional sales development within the Jakarta market.

Job Description

• The Regional Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing distribution operations across the Jakarta area. This role will focus on strengthening distributor partnerships, improving market penetration, driving sales performance, and ensuring effective execution of commercial strategies within the assigned territory.
• The role will manage, develop, and optimize distributor networks in Jakarta to maximize sales growth, market coverage, and distribution effectiveness.
• The successful candidate will identify, evaluate, and onboard new distribution partners in targeted areas within Jakarta to support business expansion and improve route-to-market capability.
• This position will build and maintain strong commercial relationships with national, regional, and local distribution partners, ensuring alignment with business objectives, brand direction, pricing strategy, and sales targets.
• The Regional Sales Manager will lead, train, and support district managers, sales representatives, or distributor sales teams under their supervision to ensure strong field execution and consistent sales performance.
• The role will monitor sales performance within Jakarta, analyze sales data, identify market opportunities, and implement strategic action plans to optimize business growth.
• The successful candidate will work closely with trade marketing teams to support the execution of in-store, on-trade, and promotional activities, while ensuring proper implementation across the market.
• This position will ensure consistent execution of pricing strategies, promotional programs, brand guidelines, and commercial activities across distributor networks and sales channels.
• The Regional Sales Manager will provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, competitor activities, distributor performance, and business opportunities to internal stakeholders.
• The role will also represent the company in business meetings, distributor reviews, commercial presentations, and partnership discussions with key distribution partners.

Requirements

• Minimum 5-7 years of sales experience , with strong exposure to distribution management, regional sales, or territory sales operations.
• Proven track record in handling distribution partners, key territories, or complex sales areas , preferably within Jakarta or Greater Jakarta.
• Strong experience in the FMCG industry , preferably within beverage, consumer goods, or related fast-moving categories.
• Prior experience in the beverage industry is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of distributor management, route-to-market strategy, sales execution, and market development.
• Experienced in managing distributor relationships, onboarding new partners, driving market penetration, and improving distributor performance.
• Strong commercial acumen with good ability to analyze sales data, identify opportunities, and develop practical action plans.
• Excellent negotiation, communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to lead and support district managers, sales representatives, and distributor teams.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Hands-on, proactive, target-driven, and comfortable managing a competitive sales territory.
