Position: Bilingual Indonesian STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety
Type: Contract
Compensation: $19–$23/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Write expert-level prompts in Indonesian across specialized scientific topics.
- Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
- Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
- Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance .
Qualifications
Must-Have
- PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field.
- Native or near-native fluency in Indonesian.
- Business-level written English.
- Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques.
- Sound judgment around scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.
Preferred
- Based in Indonesia or the wider Southeast Asia region.
- Expertise in radiological and nuclear coverage from a chemistry background.
- Demonstrated depth in a specific subfield like organic or inorganic synthesis.
- Research or coursework in chemical safety and security, biosafety, or hazardous-materials handling.
- Experience reviewing, grading, or red-teaming technical content.
