Distributor Manager (Automotive Spare Parts)

Executive recruitment company Monroe Consulting Group Indonesia is recruiting on behalf of a leading multinational company focused on the automotive spare parts business. As expansion continues, our client is seeking a professional with at least 10 years' experience in sales in a multinational company for the job of Distributor Manager. The job is based in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Key job responsibilities include:

• Report directly to the Head of Sales Indonesia and the Regional Distributor Manager
• Ensure meeting annual sales target and spend within expenses budget assigned
• Identify market and portfolio product and service portfolio opportunities
• Support strategic selling efforts of Sales Engineers to increase product portfolio market share in product and service
• Prepare market analysis including SWOT analysis of product sales & Service, and competitors
• Assist organizing & performing technical seminar with an engineering and sales focus
• Develop solid relationships with distributors and key end users
• Actively identify and communicate opportunities that support Company Industrial business
• Drive transparencies, understanding and analysis of customer base of the distributors in collaboration with internal's MRO team.
• Responsible for reporting market and competitors' information to management
• Collection of market/competitors price information, report to regional Pricing Department for analysis
• Proposal of pricing policy and structure in Indonesia with alignment to Regional Pricing Strategy
• Strategic new channels selection and proposal
• Product Trainings /Marketing activities / Exhibition
• Structure network according to geography & sectors & functions
• Partners' Performance Review on quarterly basis in terms of order book fulfilment to meet sales target.
• Co-operatively set annual sales target with distributors by product and industrial sectors to ensure company sales target are met
• Drive the Partner End-Users Sales program implementation to increase product's market share in the market

Job Requirements:

• Master's degree/Bachelor Degree in Business, or related field with at least 15 years' experience in automotive spare parts
• 10+ years' experience as a distributor manager in automotive spare parts
• Strong experiences in Industrial sectors and minimum 5 years' experience in distribution or channel management in dealing in industrial parts or components.
• Industry-specific and customer know-how, sales experience and knowledge of field sales, knowledge of operational procedures and affected persons
• SAP knowledge, knowledge of the system landscape, PC-knowledge, very good command of English (oral and written), knowledge of additional foreign languages is a plus
• Managing complex matters, conflict management, interpersonal skills, self-assurance, negotiating skills, good social deportment, ability to work in team, high level of commitment, sensitivity in dealing with other cultures, result-orientated approach, ability to assert oneself, good rhetorical skills, leadership ability
• Experience in working in a matrix organization
• Knowledge regarding the development of strategies and its implementation including review process
• Ability to think outside of the box, creativity and down to earth mentality
• Proven problem solving and root cause analysis skills
• Ability to work unsupervised
• Comfortable in dealing with customers
• Strong written and oral communication skills, presentation skills
• Technical sales or and / or technical sales support experience preferred
• Self-motivated, position requires an entrepreneurial spirit
• Good communication in English and local dialects
