Community Growth Specialist

Paruh waktu

Supermom

The Role
Parenting is rarely something mothers want to work out alone. Supermom's private groups are where that support actually happens, real conversations between real parents about the things they cannot ask anyone else.

As a Community Growth Specialist, you will own how those groups grow and how alive they feel once people are in them. You will lead a team of group admins across our Singapore and Malaysia WhatsApp communities, set the rhythm of conversation inside each group, and work with the Head of Community to shape where we grow next and why. You will also help bring those groups offline through community events where members finally meet the people they have been chatting with.

Growth here is not a follower count. It is whether a mother who joined last week still feels like she belongs three months later.

What You Will Do

  1. Own member growth across our Singapore and Malaysia private groups, through partnerships, referral programmes, digital campaigns, and organic community routes
  2. Lead and support a team of group admins, setting standards for tone, response times, moderation, and escalation so every group feels consistently well run
  3. Drive daily engagement inside the groups through conversation starters, polls, themed sessions, giveaways, and formats you invent and test yourself
  4. Help plan and run community events in Singapore and Malaysia, from concept and member recruitment through to on-site support and follow-up, so the groups have moments that pull people back in
  5. Build and refine the onboarding journey so new members feel welcomed and useful to the group within their first week
Work with the Head of Community to set growth targets, prioritise which groups and segments to build, and adjust the plan as results come in
  6. Track group health through member growth, retention, active participation, and drop-off, and use what the numbers show to change what you do next
  7. Identify and work with parenting groups, KOMs, community leaders, and partners who can bring the right members in
  8. Spot groups that are quietening down and intervene before they go dormant
  9. Report on community performance with clear recommendations on where to scale, where to consolidate, and what to stop

Who You Are

  • 2 to 4 years of experience in community management, social media, or growth marketing, ideally within Singapore's or Malaysia's parenting or women's lifestyle space
  • Outgoing and genuinely people-facing, the kind of person who can warm up a quiet chat and make newcomers feel noticed
  • Creative about engagement, with instincts for what makes people reply rather than just read
  • Fluent in WhatsApp community dynamics, including group limits, admin tools, broadcast behaviour, and what causes members to mute or leave
  • Experienced in guiding or coordinating others, comfortable holding a small team of admins to a standard without micromanaging
  • Comfortable supporting live events, from turnout and logistics through to being on the ground on the day, including occasional weekends (off-in-lieu will be provided)
  • Data-driven, able to read engagement and retention numbers and turn them into a clear next move
  • Calm and fair in moderation, with sound judgement on conflict, spam, and sensitive conversations between members
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
  • Comfortable with AI-powered community and automation tools, and curious about where they help and where they get in the way
  • Bonus points if you:
    • Run and manage your own private groups, on WhatsApp, Telegram, Facebook, or elsewhere, and know first-hand what keeps a group alive
    • Have grown online communities across both Singapore and Malaysia, and understand how differently the two behave
    • Have organised events or meet-ups for a community you were part of, not just as a job

Why This Role Matters
Motherhood is hard, and most of it happens away from public feeds. The groups you grow are where mothers ask the questions they would not post anywhere else, and where the answers come from people who have been through it. Every member you bring in, every conversation you keep going, and every event that gets people into the same room makes that village a little harder for someone to feel alone in.
