Server Supervisor | Zumana | Bali

We are looking for a Server Supervisor to join the team at Zumana in Bali and support the delivery of exceptional dining experiences. You will supervise the restaurant service team, coordinate daily floor operations, and ensure guests receive attentive, efficient, and professional service in line with venue standards.

This is a hands-on role for someone with strong restaurant service experience, excellent communication skills, and the confidence to lead a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. You will work closely with the Restaurant Manager, kitchen team, bar team, and other departments to maintain service quality, guest satisfaction, and smooth operational performance.

Main Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the restaurant service team during daily operations.

• Coordinate table service, reservations, seating arrangements, guest requests, and service flow.

• Ensure food and beverage orders are served accurately, promptly, and according to Zumana service standards.

• Welcome guests professionally and create a warm, attentive, and memorable dining experience.

• Monitor service quality, table presentation, cleanliness, and the overall appearance of the restaurant.

• Brief the service team before each shift and communicate daily promotions, events, menu updates, and operational requirements.

• Assist with training, coaching, and performance support for servers, runners, and other front-of-house team members.

• Respond to guest feedback and resolve service concerns professionally, escalating issues to the Restaurant Manager when required.

• Work closely with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth coordination of orders and timely service.

• Monitor stock levels of service equipment, tableware, menus, and other front-of-house supplies.

• Support opening, closing, side-station, and restaurant setup procedures.

• Ensure compliance with restaurant SOPs, food safety, hygiene, health, and workplace safety standards.

• Assist with promoting Zumana’s food, beverage, events, and other hospitality offerings to guests when required.

• Prepare or contribute to shift reports and communicate operational issues, guest feedback, and team requirements.

Requirements

• Previous experience in restaurant, beach club, hospitality, or food and beverage operations.

• Experience as a Server Captain or Restaurant Supervisor is preferred.

• Strong knowledge of restaurant service standards, table service, order procedures, and guest relations.

• Confident leadership and team supervision skills with a hands-on approach to operations.

• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

• Professional, friendly, and service-oriented approach with strong attention to detail.

• Ability to remain calm, organised, and effective in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle guest concerns professionally.

• Good knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety requirements.

• Ability to work collaboratively with front-of-house, kitchen, bar, and management teams.

• Comfortable working shifts, weekends, public holidays, and late hours when required.

• Physically fit and able to stand and move around the restaurant for extended periods.

• Good English communication skills are an advantage.

Key Skills and Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a restaurant, hotel, beach club, lounge, or other hospitality venue is an advantage.

• Strong guest service, communication, and relationship-building skills.

• Knowledge of point-of-sale systems and restaurant reservation systems is preferred.

• Ability to train, motivate, and coordinate a diverse service team.

• Strong organisational skills, reliability, and attention to detail.

• A positive, flexible, and collaborative attitude.

• Professional grooming and presentation in line with hospitality standards.
