What You'll Do

The Finance Associate supports the finance function by assisting in financial planning, reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, compliance, treasury activities, and financial analysis. This role works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective financial controls.

Key Responsibility Areas

Financial Reporting & Accounting

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, general ledger accounts, and supporting schedules.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close activities.
• Prepare and reconcile accounts, including bank reconciliations and balance sheet schedules.
• Assist in the preparation of periodic financial reports and management reports.

Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable

• Process and monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Ensure timely invoicing, collections, and vendor payments.
• Assist in resolving discrepancies related to customer and supplier accounts.

Budgeting & Financial Analysis

• Support budgeting and forecasting processes by gathering, consolidating, and analyzing financial data.
• Assist in monitoring budget utilization and tracking variances against actual performance.
• Prepare financial analyses and reports to support business and operational decisions.
• Conduct basic cost-benefit and profitability analyses as required.

Business Partnership Support

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders across operations, marketing, commercial, and other departments to provide financial insights and support.
• Assist business units in monitoring expenses and understanding financial performance against budgets.

Compliance & Audit Support

• Support compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including VAT, income tax, and payroll-related obligations.
• Prepare schedules and documentation required for tax filings and audits.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory agencies as needed.

Treasury & Cash Flow Management

• Assist in monitoring daily cash positions and preparing cash flow reports.
• Support banking transactions and treasury-related activities.
• Help ensure adequate liquidity for operational requirements.

Financial Controls & Process Improvement

• Follow established financial controls, policies, and procedures.
• Assist in monitoring compliance with internal controls and SOPs.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies within finance processes.
• Support documentation and implementation of finance-related policies and procedures.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in accounting, finance, audit, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial/accounting systems.
• Knowledge of taxation and regulatory compliance requirements is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
