PLN & EPC Key Account | Sales Engineer (High-voltage Electrical Equipment)

Job Role

The PLN & EPC Key Account | Sales Engineer is responsible for driving business growth by developing strategic relationships with PLN, EPC contractors, Independent Power Producers (IPP), and major industrial clients. This role manages the full sales lifecycle, from identifying project opportunities and delivering technical-commercial presentations to contract negotiations and post-sales coordination.

Working closely with engineering, project management, and production teams, the successful candidate will provide consultative sales solutions for high-voltage electrical equipment while supporting customers throughout the project execution process. The role requires strong technical understanding, commercial acumen, and the ability to build long-term partnerships within Indonesia's power and infrastructure sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new business opportunities and manage key accounts across PLN, EPC contractors, IPPs, industrial estates, mining, and oil & gas sectors.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with project owners, consultants, contractors, and key decision-makers.
• Deliver technical presentations, prepare commercial proposals, and recommend suitable high-voltage electrical equipment solutions based on project requirements.
• Monitor project pipelines, infrastructure tenders, procurement activities, and upcoming opportunities related to power transmission and distribution projects.
• Coordinate closely with engineering, production, quality, and project management teams to ensure customer requirements are met throughout project execution.
• Support tender submissions, contract negotiations, project documentation, and post-sales activities while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
• Conduct regular client visits, site meetings, and industry networking activities to strengthen customer relationships and identify new business opportunities.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years of B2B sales or sales engineering experience within electrical equipment manufacturing, transformer manufacturing, EPC, power systems, or related industries.
• Proven experience handling PLN, EPC contractors, Independent Power Producers (IPP), or large industrial customers.
• Strong understanding of transformers, high-voltage electrical equipment, substations, switchgear, or power distribution systems.
• Experience managing technical sales, project tenders, commercial negotiations, and long-term customer relationships.
• Professional working proficiency in English.
• Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
• Willing to complete an initial training period in Cikarang before being based full-time in Jakarta.
