Principal Site Reliability Engineer (Fintech)

Monroe Consulting Group is partnering with a leading payment infrastructure and digital transaction technology company in Indonesia to recruit a Senior SRE Principal.
This role will be responsible for driving the organization's Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) strategy, ensuring the reliability, scalability, security, and performance of mission-critical systems. The successful candidate will play a key leadership role in advancing platform resilience, operational excellence, automation initiatives, and AI-driven operational improvements while collaborating closely with engineering, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee enterprise-wide SRE initiatives to improve system reliability, availability, and performance.
- Drive the development and adoption of automation frameworks and operational tooling to enhance efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Establish and promote SRE best practices, standards, and operational governance across engineering teams.
- Influence architectural and technology decisions to strengthen system resilience and scalability.
- Define and execute the SRE roadmap, prioritizing initiatives that support business and technology objectives.
- Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous service improvement activities.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, automation capabilities, and AI-driven solutions to optimize operations and service reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure operational readiness and successful delivery of strategic technology initiatives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, DevOps, or related disciplines.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms, infrastructure automation, observability, monitoring, and incident management.
- Proven experience designing and implementing highly available, scalable, and resilient systems.
- Experience leading automation, operational excellence, and platform engineering initiatives.
- Strong stakeholder management, leadership, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Familiarity with AI-driven operations (AIOps), automation frameworks, and modern reliability engineering practices is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and business stakeholders.
